Our bank refuses to surrender

My husband was furious about what the bank did to our account when I told him yesterday but he couldn’t do anything at the time. This afternoon he called them to ask why they violated their own policies and placed us in that situation. I mean think about it would you be happy to have all your funds removed from your bank because of your previous employer?

The long and short of it is that the bank is not budging. Certainly if we wanted to pursue this then it would have to be in court. We’re only talking $500.00 but the timing of this was horrible and without warning, no calls/letters/otherwise.
